Faraway is a cosy, traditional cedar chalet in the beautiful alpine village of Dinner Plain. This house has just been refreshed for new listing in the 2025 season. Centrally located, close to all trails and amenities. A short stroll (or ski from your door!) to the beginner’s ski slope and toboggan run in winter, or a peaceful base for off-season bike riding, mountain walks & wildflowers.

Fully self-contained, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, Faraway is the perfect place to enjoy a year-round alpine escape with family or friends. Sleeps 8 people.

Tariffs:

Summer 2026/2027: From 11 September to 17 December and 27 April to 3 June minimum 2 night stay $500 per night

Summer 2027: From 18 December to 26 April minimum 3 night stay $400 per night.

Faraway chalet is currently available for rent during winter 2027.

Cancellations: Written notice of cancellation thirty days or more prior to arrival will incur a fee of 10% of total tariff. The balance of monies paid will be refunded. If less than thirty days notice is given no monies will be refunded unless the property can be re-booked. We recommend that you take travel insurance to cover against cancelation penalties due to involuntary cancelation. If cancelling due to Covid 19 there is a $100 administration with held.

Deposit: Deposit of 50% of total tariff is required within fourteen days of booking unless booking is made within thirty days of arrival then full payment is required on booking. Where deposit is unpaid after fourteen days, DPAMS reserves the right to cancel the booking without further notice. For Easter, Christmas, New Years, and the winter ski season, deposit of $400.00 is to be paid upon booking. Security Deposit: The person making the reservation and paying the require tariff to DPAMS is deemed responsible for care and security of the property during the period of their stay in the property. A security bond to paid prior to arrival with DPAMS prior to or on key collection. Any loss/damage to property and or fittings, excessive cleaning in accordance with cleaning time frames and or late checkout funds will used from bond. Security bond will be returned upon departure providing conditions of occupation have been met. We cannot allow you access to the property unless the conditions of this clause have been met.

Payments: Direct deposit, only.

Note: A $100 pet fee and $500 security bond (deposit) are required for damage and excess cleaning.
